Locomotive Floor Replacement

The Fugiel floor is a locomotive cab floor that is designed to last the lifetime of the locomotive.  The subfloor is composed of ¾” Arboron.  Arboron is an extremely durable laminate that is consolidated under high pressure and temperature into dense uniform sheets.  It has excellent chemical and abrasion resistance and a very high strength to weight ratio.   The subfloor is then bonded to 1/8” Abrastop flooring.  Abrastop flooring is an extremely durable quartz material that provides excellent traction, especially in environments where oil and grease are present.  These two materials work together to make for a floor that will last the lifetime of the locomotive and provide safe footing along the way.
